The Youth Digital Skilling Hub is an emerging and scaling enterprise under Afrist, focused on advancing digital inclusion and youth employability across Africa through strategic UK–Africa collaboration.

As technology continues to reshape industries on a global scale, too many young people remain on the margins of the digital economy — not for lack of potential, but for lack of access, opportunity, and support. The Youth Digital Skilling Hub exists to change that. We work to bridge the gap between young people's untapped talent and the pathways they need to participate meaningfully in an increasingly digital world.

What We Do

Our model brings together several interconnected pillars to create lasting impact:

• Practical digital skills training — hands-on, relevant, and industry-informed
• Employability and workforce readiness development — preparing young people not just to learn, but to work
• Leadership and confidence building — because skills alone are not enough
• Partnership-led opportunity pathways — connecting participants to real employment and entrepreneurship opportunities
• Cross-border collaboration with UK institutions and networks — bringing global perspective and resources to local contexts

We are building scalable, community-rooted programmes designed to grow sustainably and adapt as workforce demands evolve.

Our Approach

As an emerging enterprise, we are currently:

• Piloting and refining scalable training models in real community settings
• Building strong community foundations to ensure programmes are embedded and trusted
• Developing UK–Africa strategic partnerships that bring mutual benefit and genuine exchange
• Creating measurable pathways into employment and entrepreneurship for young people

Our focus extends well beyond training hours and certificates. We are building an ecosystem of opportunity — one where young people gain not just skills, but the networks, confidence, and connections that help those skills translate into real-world outcomes.
